Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Central Service Technician to support the healthcare team by cleaning, sterilizing, packaging instruments, maintaining inventory and transporting supplies. The role requires a high school diploma and completion of a Central Service Technician program or healthcare training.

Preferred CRCST certification or willingness to obtain within one year, plus at least one year of related sterile processing experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Completion of Central Service Technician course or healthcare organization training; military training may satisfy WA state requirements
• Nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or at least 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire (as required)
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and package instruments to support clinical teams
• Maintain instrument and supply inventories
• Transport supplies and equipment between departments
• Collaborate with patient care providers and Materials Management staff as needed
