Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for second shift. This full-time role involves working 40 hours per week in the sterile processing department, with benefits eligible.

You will adhere to safety standards, identify and clean instrumentation per IFU, assemble and label instruments, and operate sterilization equipment with proper documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CSPDT or CRCST certification within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as CSPDT or CRCST must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Experience with sterile processing best practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards.
• Identifies manual and/or mechanical cleaning according to the manufacturer's IFU for all general instrumentation.
• Determines, prepares, and uses supplies required in the assembly process.
• Identifies, inspects, assembles general instruments, checking for cleanliness & functionality utilizing count sheets.
• Packages and labels instrumentation.
• Safely operates sterilization equipment and perform verification and documentation of sterilization process.
• Performs high temperature (steam) and low temperature (gas plasma) sterilization.
