Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, prepare and sterilize surgical supplies and instruments. The role requires CSPDT certification or equivalent and a current BLS, along with a High School Diploma or GED.

You will support case carts and instrument handling across our facilities. With 2 years of sterile processing experience preferred, you will inspect instruments, replace or send for repairs, and ensure readiness of surgical sets for procedures at

Key Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Tech shall be knowledgeable and implement the decontamination, preparing and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Assembles case carts containing consumable supplies and instrumentation.
• Cleans/decontaminates surgical instruments.
• Identifies and assembles multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets.
• Inspects instruments, replaces or send for repairs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years experience in sterile processing
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or equivalent certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
