Job summary

Medical City Sachse is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. You will support the surgical team by maintaining sterile conditions and organizing instruments according to daily schedules.

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience required.
  • Certification required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver safe, high-quality care.
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on daily schedule and procedural needs.
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized

What qualifications you will need:
