Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, inspect, sterilize and distribute surgical instruments.

You will support operating rooms by ensuring availability of sterile supplies and collaborating with care teams to maintain patient safety. Required certifications within one year of hire with HSPA or CSPDTB standards; preferred sterile processing experience and coursework.

Qualifications

Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. They will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for procedures. They will be knowledgeable in sterile processing standards and serve as a patient safety advocate.

Required Qualifications

• Within one (1) year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Within one (1) year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
• Coursework/Training Surgical Technician
• Previous experience in Sterile Processing or knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
