Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. You will work closely with nurses and surgeons to maintain safety and efficiency in a fast-paced operating environment.

The role emphasizes meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and timely processing to support high-quality patient care at our hospital.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
