Job summary

University Hospitals TriPoint Medical Center in Concord, OH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for full‑time night shifts. The role handles decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of reusable patient care equipment, with day shift training to start and rotating weekends/holidays required.

Responsibilities include preparing items for sterilization, operating according to policy, and supporting the OR processing team while maintaining strong patient and staff relationships.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination procedure
• Prepares reusable patient care items for sterilization
• Sterilization using appropriate sterilization methods
• Picks surgical case carts, stores and distributes reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies
• Participates as a productive member of the OR processing team
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers
• Participates as a productive member of the perioperative process team
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

For full time positions ,University Hospitals is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus to external applicants that are non-certified, but have a minimum of 6 months of working sterile processing experience. A $5,000 sign on bonus is being offered to external applicants who are certified in sterile processing.

A Brief Overview

The Sterile Processing Technician role is responsible for receiving, sorting, decontaminating, reassembling, packaging, sterilizing, storing and distributing reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies.

What You Will Do
