Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician – Certified for full-time work at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord, OH. The role involves decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of reusable patient care equipment, with an evening shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

External applicants certified in sterile processing may qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. A Day Shift training to start is required; you will join the O.R.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination procedure
• Prepares reusable patient care items for sterilization
• Sterilization using appropriate sterilization methods
• Picks surgical case carts, stores and distribute reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies
• Participates as a productive member of the O.R. processing team
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers
• Participates as a productive member of the perioperative process team
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
