Westlawn Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our PRN pool and ensure clean, ready-to-use instruments for each case. You will maintain all surgical instrumentation and prepare instrument trays to support efficient, safe procedures.

Qualified candidates must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2–3 years of Instrument Room experience with

• 2–3 years’ Instrument Room experience and knowledge of sterilizers required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all surgical instrumentation and set up instrument trays for surgeries.
• Ensure clean, sterile, ready-to-use instruments for each procedure and support efficient OR workflow.

Sterile Processing Technician at Westlawn Surgery Center

The Sterile Processing Technologist cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. He/she is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years’ experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
