Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician in Topeka, KS. This on-site role involves preparing, assembling, cleaning and sterilizing instrumentation used in exams, surgeries and clinical procedures.

The technician will ensure instruments and equipment meet safety standards, perform decontamination, and maintain accurate records while working with a team in a fast-paced hospital setting. Non-exempt, 40 hours/week, first shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience in a surgery environment preferred.
• Sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wrap trays and peel packs, identify contents, label and track lot numbers.
• Perform steam and Sterrad sterilization procedures and monitor indicators.
• Conduct decontamination according to manufacturers' instructions and safety protocols.
• Work as part of a team, maintain a clean, safe work area and accurate records.
• Restock sterile storage and maintain defined par levels.
