Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as Central Service Technician or Surgical Tech preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and equipment nomenclature (required).
• Knowledgeable with cleaning and sterilization procedures and techniques (required).
• High School Diploma/GED minimum.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Tech (SPD) is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established Infection Control Practices.

• Must be conscientious with regard to procedures, and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital.
• Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties.
• Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities.

Shifts: 8 hour shifts, variable start times
