Job summary

You will monitor sterilization equipment, maintain regulatory records, and assist with survey readiness, ensuring quality and patient safety in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a 15% differential on base pay and requires meticulous attention to safety and compliance in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification expected within 18 months of hire or transfer.
• Six months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes supplies and instruments using the prescribed method (e.g. steam, gas plasma Sterrad).
• Operates washer/decontaminator per department policy and procedure.
• Understands the basic principles of all sterilization equipment used in the department.
• Packages items for sterilization to promote successful outcomes.
• Follows manufacturers' IFUs and ensures cleanliness of decontamination, sterilization, and equipment areas.
• Validates proper functioning of equipment using mechanical and biological monitors.
