Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to ensure competent care delivery in perioperative settings. The successful candidate will assemble necessary equipment and supplies, apply knowledge of microbiology, and operate sterilizers.

Preferred qualifications include completion of an operating room program and CRCST certification within a year of hire. This role offers various benefits focused on employee health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble necessary equipment and supplies for patient and surgeon needs.
  • Use microbiology, instrumentation, and hand cleaning techniques.
  • Print doctor's preference list and assemble case carts.
  • Assist with special project assignments.
  • Operate sterilizers and monitor cleaning.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As the Central Sterile Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining competent care delivery to patients in our perioperative settings. Our team works together like a family, and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

Responsibilities
  • You will assemble all necessary equipment and supplies to meet patient and surgeon needs.
  • You will use microbiology, instrumentation, and hand cleaning techniques for equipment and machines.
  • You will print an appropriate doctor’s preference list, assemble case carts, and fill in requisitions.
  • You will display team spirit by assisting with special project assignments.
  • You will be responsible for operating sterilizers, aerators, and their monitoring cleaning.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a program for operating room preferred.
  • CRCST certification required within 1 year of hire date.
  • Familiarity with knowledge of medical supplies is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience is not required but is preferred.
