Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you play a role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. You are responsible for meticulously cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing all reusable surgical instruments. Furthermore, you are instrumental in providing all necessary instruments for surgery and other hospital departments. We are currently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech I to join our family.As a Sterile ProcessingTechnician,you willbe responsible forthe activities related to decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments.Unlock your potential here!

Here is some of what you can expect from being aSterile Processing Technician Iwith us:

  • You willcoordinate and collaborate in the overall cleaning, disinfection,assemblyand sterile processing of instruments needed for daily surgical and invasive procedures.
  • You will beknowledgeableregardinginstrumentation handling, care, cleaning,assemblyand sterilization.
  • You willoperatethe washer decontaminator, Ultrasonic washer, heat sealer, nitrogen tank and air hose.
  • You will accurately follow surgery and hospital instrument check sheets and order requests
  • You will promptly and correctly respond to Hospitaldepartments andthe operating room requests for instrumentation and supplies
  • You will reportbroken instrumentation, and vital communication with team leadership and/or manager.

What qualifications you will need:

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Surgical or Central Sterile Technical training course.
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
  • One (1)yearminimumSterileProcessing, Central Sterile Technician or Operating Room Technicianexperience.
