Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our PRN pool. You will sanitize, sterilize, and organize instruments, ensuring readiness for surgeries and adherence to safety standards.

With CRCST or CSPDT certification required within 2 years and at least a high school diploma, you will work closely with nurses and surgeons to support efficient procedures and patient safety in a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED.
• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
• 1 years experience is preferred.
