Ascension in Mequon, WI is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the department. You will deliver sterile, reliable surgical sets by inspecting, assembling, and validating instruments to ensure operating room teams have complete, functional tools for safe patient care.

You will master decontamination and sterilization procedures per IFUs, maintain precise inventory for timely case carts, and operate advanced sterilization equipment to uphold peak safety standards across the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience.
• IAHCSMM credential preferred for sterile processing.
• CBSPD credential preferred.
• Certification Board credential may be used in lieu of education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sterile, reliable surgical sets by inspecting, assembling, and validating instruments so operating room teams have complete, functional tools for safe patient care.
• Master decontamination and sterilization procedures following IFUs to prevent cross-contamination and safeguard patient outcomes.
• Maintain precise inventory control to build accurate, timely surgical case carts that prevent delays.
• Operate advanced sterilization equipment with meticulous attention to clean standards and safety.
• Drive clinical excellence through peer audits to support quality assurance and high standards across the sterile processing team.
