Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Part-time Sterile Processing Tech to join our team in Illinois. You will receive, clean, sterilize, and distribute instruments, following strict aseptic procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities include stocking, QA testing, handling instrument sets, and documenting results. A HS diploma and a valid sterile processing certification within 2 years are required, along with basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; GED within 1 year of start date.
• Sterile processing certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) within 2 years of start date.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment.
• Receives, stocks, packages and distributes instruments and equipment.
• Performs quality assurance testing and inspects stock; inventories and reorders supplies.
