Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Certified Equipment Processing Tech at an Ohio hospital, focused on cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing instruments for patient care.

The role emphasizes strict Sterile Processing standards, maintaining equipment readiness, and collaboration with the Central Service Manager to support safe, efficient operations.

Full-time, on-site role with rotating weekends/holidays; compensation aligns with experience and includes benefits and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified in Sterile Processing and Distribution, or obtain certification within two years of employment.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and terminally sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment used for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Accurately assemble all components of trays used within area of responsibility.
• Keep the equipment coordinator informed of any problems or suspected problems with equipment and instruments in the assigned area.
• Use various sterilization processes, including steam, Sterrad, and Steris.
• Maintain event-related sterility according to procedure.
• Demonstrate understanding of the decontamination and sterilization process for instruments and equipment used throughout the hospital.
• Demonstrate understanding of instruments and instrument trays used daily and their maintenance.
• Correctly use the hospital's instrument tracking system in each area.
• Report to the Central Service Manager.
