Job summary

Mercy Health Kings Mills Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Non-Certified to join the Kings Mills team. Under supervision, you will clean, assemble, test, and prepare patient care equipment and instruments following policy, procedure, and regulatory standards.

The role requires high school completion and may require certification within two years of hire. Prior surgical setting experience is preferred and EPIC proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification within 2 years after hire: CRCST, HSPA, or CBSPD.
• Recent surgical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination: clean and process surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
• Operate sterilizers and maintain aseptic packaging procedures.
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and document quality checks.
• Support infection control and equipment handling per policy.
