Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments for the operating room and other departments in a compliant and safe manner.

Under supervision, you will ensure patient safety and support clinical operations through accurate sterile reprocessing, with required certification and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Approved Sterile Processing Tech Program.
• Certification through CRCST - HSPA or CBSPD is required.
• Minimum of one year of sterile processing experience in hospital or surgical setting.

Additional Job Description

Completion of Approved Sterile Processing Tech Program and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution). Minimum of one (1) year of sterile processing experience, preferably in a hospital or surgical setting. Successful completion of the department’s internal written and practical exam, as well as meeting required performance and productivity standards, is required to attain and maintain Sterile Processing II status.
