Job summary

NYC Joint & Spine Center in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Central Processing Sterile Technician to ensure the safe preparation of instruments for surgeries. You will clean, sterilize, assemble, and store tools while maintaining labeling and inventory controls.

This daytime role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends, and a benefits package including healthcare, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and a collaborative, growing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in sterile processing preferred.
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire if required).
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, sterilize, and package instruments and equipment according to standards.
• Assemble instrument trays and maintain labeling and storage.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and related equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor and maintain sterile supply inventory; check for outdated or compromised items.
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, physicians, and other staff.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant sterile processing work area.
