Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the day shift on a full-time basis. You will clean, sterilize, distribute and record patient reusable supplies and instruments for the OR and throughout the hospital system.

No experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is needed, with a preference for CRCST/CST certification after the second year.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Ability to meet the department on-call demands.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required with interest in continuing education.
• Preferred CRCST (Certified Registered Central Supply Tech) certificate after the 2nd year of employment.
• Preferred CST (Certified Surgical Tech) certificate will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, distribute and record patient reusable supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminate and assemble instruments for the OR and hospital use.
• Ensure OR carts are properly set up with instruments for procedures.
• Manage instrument inventory and coordinate with department leads.
