Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, High School or GED (Required)
• CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• IAHCSMM - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean reusable surgical instruments.
• Follow sterilization processes for steam and chemical methods and document results.
• Enter and search instrument tracking data accurately and quickly.
• Assist with instrument prep for scheduled cases and provide instrument retrieval.
• Maintain infection control during transferring, storing and transporting sterile packages.
• Interact with vendors and surgical reps for loaner trays and CEU credits.
• Provide direct customer service to operating rooms and external clinics.
• Support training of fellow associates and promote safety, quality and efficiency.
