Jefferson Health in Pennsylvania is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support operating rooms and other units. You will inventory, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize and dispense surgical instruments and trays, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities extend to decontamination areas, inventory tracking and routine equipment checks. The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a certified sterile processing program, and certification maintenance.

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of certified sterile processing technician training program.
SPD exemption applies for PA facilities employing central services tech before 12/29/2020.
Minimum 6 months experience preferred.
Must maintain required certification.

Mansioni

Disassemble, clean, inspect, prepare, assemble, sterilize and dispense surgical instruments and trays for OR and other departments.
Operate automated washers, cart washers and ultrasonic washers safely per IFU and policy.
Verify pre/post-sterilization quality indicators and document results.
Label, track and manage inventory of sterilized items and adapt to campus requirements.
Assist with onboarding of new team members and support call coverage duties when needed.
