Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ seeks a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room and patient care pathways. Under supervision, you will clean, sterilize, assemble equipment and packs, with focus on aseptic technique and accuracy.

The role requires CSPD certification or CSPD eligibility, 400 internship hours completed, and HS diploma. SPD experience preferred; weekend or evening coverage may be required as part of a hospital team.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, cleans, sterilizes and assembles patient care equipment, supplies and instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
• Assembles surgical instruments, trays, etc.
• Sterilizes instruments, equipment, linens and a variety of supplies using steam or gas sterilizer.
• Prepares packs of supplies and wraps, labels and seals same.
