Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Frisco is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation from decontamination to tray assembly.

You will assist with the daily QA program and ensure sterile processing meets safety standards, with required certifications within 6 months of hire and at least 2–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification CRCST (IAHCSMM) or CRSPT (CBSPD) within 6 months of hire required.
• 2–3 years of Instrument Room Technician experience.
• Familiarity with steam/gravity sterilizers and Low Temperature Gas sterilizers (Sterrad).

Job description

The Sterile Processing Technician II cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation from decontamination to tray assembly. Assists with the daily QA program.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certification (CRCST) through IAHCSMM, or CRSPT through CBSPD required within 6 months of hire.
• 2-3 years of experience as an Instrument Room Technician. Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation. Organized the setting up of the operating room instrument tray. Understands the operation of the steam/ gravity sterilizer. Understands Low Temperature Gas sterilizers (Sterrad®).
