Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking a Sterile Processing Professional to safeguard patient safety by ensuring the delivery of clean, sterile and fully functional instruments. You will decontaminate, prep and pack, sterilize, and dispatch instruments with precision and professionalism.

In this role, you will expand your knowledge of standards and procedures for surgical instrumentation, maintaining meticulous records and adhering to infection control practices to support optimal surgical outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED at hire or upon hire.
• Graduate of Sterile Processing Program or minimum 1 year experience.
• Certification as Central Service Technician at hire or later.
• Certification as Sterile Processing Dist Tech/Supervisor at hire or later.
• Certified Sterile Processing Dist Tech mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, process, assemble and sterilize instruments per policy, standards and IFU.
• Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA requirements.
• Perform daily/weekly testing and logging of equipment (mechanical washers, sonic, sterilizers).
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist in instrument maintenance and set assembly using checklists where available.
