Job summary

Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Plano is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 2 for the FT Evening shift (3p-11:30p) with rotating call schedules. The role involves sterilizing, processing and distributing patient equipment and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED, 1 year of experience, and a CBSPD CRCST/CSPDT/CST cert (or equivalent). Benefits include health coverage, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of experience.
• Certification requirements: CBSPD CRCST CSPDT CST certificates (must have one).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Clean instruments and equipment per guidelines and operate sterilization equipment.
• Manage inventory: order, replenish, and distribute instruments and reusable medical equipment.
• Follow safety, infection control, and environmental rules.
• Share skills, train staff and mentor entry-level Sterile Processing staff.
