Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Department Technician II to join our hospital team. You will be responsible for processing and distributing instruments and medical equipment used in patient care areas and for inputting patient charges.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in a hospital sterile processing or surgical setting, and CSPDT/CST/CRCST certification. Shift includes 3 PM to 11:30 PM with rotating weekends and union protections under SEIU.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years hospital sterile processing or surgical tech experience.
• Proficient in assembling large complex instrumentation.
• CSPDT or CST or CRCST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment per safety rules.
• Document sterilization loads and biological tests.
• Assemble, wrap, label and package instruments.
• Select appropriate sterilization methods and monitor outcomes.
• Train new SPD staff and support department duties.
