Job summary

Cedars-Sinai SPD is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech II to support instrument decontamination, sterilization, and delivery of sterile supplies in a fast-paced hospital environment. Under direct supervision, you will work with OR units to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and assembling instrument trays, following IFU guidelines, and adhering to quality control and safety standards. Growth opportunities exist within the SPD team.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
At least one year in sterile processing or surgical technologist experience.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
CRCST certification required.

Responsibilities

Performs sterile processing functions and related duties in decontamination and assembly areas following policies.
Inspects, tests and assembles instrument trays per protocol sheets and IFU documents.
Sterilizes hospital instruments and supplies using high/low temp methods and disinfection standards.
Disassembles and cleans instrumentation and tests for proper functioning; tags instruments needing repair.
Delivers missing or replacement instruments to OR units and escalates issues as needed.
Maintains organized work area and adheres to safety and quality standards.
