The Sterile Processing Technician II is a certified technician whose responsibilities cover decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards and guidelines. The SP Tech II demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an indirect patient care department and addressing the requests of the customer or provider.
High School Diploma or GED.
Hold one of the following certifications or obtain within one year of hire: CRCST, CSPDT, or CBSPD.
One (1) year of Central Sterile Processing experience required.
Above average verbal communication (heavy public contact).
Writing/Reports (legible handwriting and coherent writing).
Weekends, holidays, flexible, on call.
