Job summary

Instrumentum is hiring Sterile Processing Technicians II for a new site at a partner hospital in the Richmond, VA area. Earn $30-$40/hour depending on experience. This is a ground-floor build with 9 openings across day, evening, and night shifts.

The Technician II role expands core decontamination, assembly, and sterilization skills to include quality inspection, documentation, and instrument tracking, with mentoring duties for newer staff. No travel involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST (HSPA) or CSPDT (CBSPD) certification; if not certified, 90 days to obtain.
• Able to meet physical demands of the role.
• Open to working days, evenings, or nights.

Responsibilities

• Receive, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, package, and ship instruments according to protocols.
• Conduct in-process and final quality checks for cleanliness and functionality.
• Document non-conforming instruments or quality deviations per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument tracking.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related equipment safely; perform routine maintenance.
• Mentor and train newer Sterile Processing Technicians as a site preceptor.
