Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Central Processing Technician for the 3:00PM–11:30PM shift. You will clean, sterilize, process and assemble instruments, ensuring proper storage and distribution to operating rooms.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and good organizational skills. Vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and annual flu vaccine are required unless exempt.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and process used instruments.
• Disinfect and sterilize instruments using appropriate chemicals.
• Maintain inventory and ensure adequate supply of instruments.
• Collaborate with Surgical Technicians to set instruments for operating rooms.
• Update Surgeons and medical staff on instrument status.
