Enloe Health in Northern California is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I to manage decontamination, packaging, sterilization and handling of reusable surgical instruments. The role supports room turnover and stock replenishment in the Sterile Processing and perioperative areas, under supervision of perioperative staff.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in sterile processing functions preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must interact professionally with physicians, staff, patients and the public.
• Ability to read and interpret hazardous chemical statements and MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, packaging, sterilization and handling of reusable surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain documentation of SPD processes and inventory control.
• Assist with room turnover, stocking and replenishment in Sterile Processing and surgery areas.
• Orient and train new employees and assist with patient care tasks as assigned.
