Inova Health in Alexandria is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech 1 for a full-time position with night shifts (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) and every other weekend. Ability to train on day shift at Fairfax for up to 10–12 weeks is required.

The role focuses on assembling instruments, ensuring sterility, decontaminating items, managing inventory, and using tracking software to document processing steps. Training and on-site teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles instrumentation accurately and maintains sterility of processed items.
• Decontaminates instruments safely and monitors inventory.
• Loads instruments for sterilization and records loads with tracking software.
• Selects appropriate sterilization method and verifies chemical/biological indicators.
• Unloads case carts and ensures proper processing mechanics to prevent damage.
• Prepares instrumentation for decontamination and operates washers and related equipment.
