Job summary

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to reprocess and terminally sterilize surgical and medical instruments. This full-time role covers 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with a wage range of $18.75–$24.15 per hour.

The position requires attention to detail and teamwork to maintain a 99.25–100% accuracy rate while following SPD standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities include assembling instrument sets, using steam and plasma sterilization,

Qualifications

• Reprocesses and terminally sterilizes surgical & medical instruments and equipment.
• Maintains accuracy rate of 99.25% to 100% in instrument processing.
• Works with steam and hydrogen peroxide plasma sterilization.
• Assembles instrument sets and trays following procedures.
• Inspects and tests instruments for proper function.
