Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I for the evening shift (3p - 11:30p, Mon-Fri with call) at our Dothan, AL facility.

You will be responsible for ensuring clean, sterile instruments and supplies for operating rooms, while supporting patient safety through strict adherence to protocols. Qualifications

• 0-2 years of sterile processing experience required.
• Some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select and supply surgical instruments according to protocol.
• Stock and assemble case carts to ensure instrument availability.
• Organize and store sterilized instruments on labeled shelves.
• Monitor and restock supply shelves daily.
• Adhere to infection control policies and standard precautions.
• Obtain, return, and dispense supplies within requested timeframes.
• Conduct inventory checks and replenish items as needed.
• Communicate with nursing units to locate missing equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance and compliance with policies.
