Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, Oregon, seeks a Sterile Processing Tech I or II to receive, reprocess, sterilize and assemble medical supplies and equipment for the perioperative team. The role requires maintaining sterile processing areas, distributing supplies, and supporting inventory control.

The Tech II requires CRCST certification; Sterile Processing Technician Program or CIS may be preferred. This is a day shift with multiple start times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• For Tech II, CRCST certification is required; Sterile Processing Tech Program may be preferred.
• CRCST certification (required for Tech II) is listed under Licenses/ certifications/ registrations.

Responsibilities

• Follow protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing, packaging, disinfecting or sterilizing and storing supplies.
• Distribute supplies from sterile processing to other areas as needed.
• Assist with pulling case carts and inventory control in surgery.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of health information.
• Adhere to safety, PPE and regulatory standards.
