Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, ID, is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Under the Sterile Processing Manager, you will ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes, supporting aseptic technique, room turnover, and supply retrieval for the surgical staff.

You will need a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated verbal and written English communication for patient care and documentation standards.
• Willingness to participate in further education and professional growth.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper care and maintenance for surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique principles and practices.
• Assists with room turnover and retrieving supplies for surgical staff.
• Works under supervision of Sterile Processing Manager.
• Ability to work under pressure with patience, tact, stamina and endurance.
