Job summary

Restore Orthopaedic Surgical Institute in Pennsylvania is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for full-time 8-hour shifts to support our two-OR surgical center and ensure sterile instrument readiness.

Responsibilities include testing sterilizers, preparing instruments per AAMI standards, managing inventory, wrapping and sterilizing equipment with steam and VPRO, and maintaining accurate logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Sterile Processing Certificate required.
• Instrument technician experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization principles.

Responsibilities

• Open department by performing equipment testing and ensuring readiness.
• Process loaner trays with vendor reps as needed.
• Care and preparation of surgical instruments per AAMI standards.
• Maintain stock levels and manage inventory in instrument, decontamination and sterile supply areas.
• Perform daily sterilizer testing and log results; use steam and VPRO methods.
