Job summary

Kettering Health Washington Township in Centerville, OH, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, sort, assemble, and sterilize instruments and supplies for surgical teams. You will operate washers, STERRAD, steam, and ethylene oxide sterilizers, and assist in timely preparation of instrument trays.

HS Diploma or GED required; certification within 12 months of hire; previous related experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination on instruments, equipment, and other items.
• Sorts and cleans instruments and equipment by hand and/or washer/disinfectant.
• Assembles, wraps, and packages instruments, instrument trays, and supplies.
• Sterilizes instruments and supplies using STERRAD, steam and ethylene oxide gas sterilizers as trained.
• "Picks" instruments, instrument trays, supplies, in a timely matter for surgery.
• Performs basic computer functions using a Windows based system as needed.
