Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Parma, OH, is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician for the evening shift. The role requires rotating weekends and holidays, with day shift training to start.

You will receive, decontaminate, reassemble, sterilize, store, and distribute reusable patient-care equipment and instrument trays, supporting the OR and perioperative teams while upholding PHI and UH policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of sterile processing experience.
• Experience with decontamination and preparation of sterile items.
• Ability to work evenings and rotate weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to PHI handling and UH policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination procedures.
• Prepares reusable patient care items for sterilization.
• Sterilizes items using appropriate methods.
• Picks and distributes sterile equipment and instrument trays.
• Participates as a productive member of the OR processing team.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and coworkers.
• Supports the perioperative process team.
