Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize, and inspect surgical instruments. You will maintain records, track equipment, and support supply preparation for procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing environments and instrument handling.
• Ability to verify correct items and quantities for sterilization.
• Proven dependability and flexibility to meet department scheduling needs.
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled instruments from surgery, anesthesia, and nursing units.
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Inspect instruments for damage or malfunction; ensure proper sterilization.
• Maintain records of sterilization processes and track issued equipment.
• Assist with stock levels and supply preparation for surgical cases.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area; practice safety.
