Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a Sterile Processing Tech to ensure efficient flow in the Sterile Processing department, handling decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of instruments. You will operate sterilization equipment and maintain compliance records for AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire or transfer.

Mansioni

• Sterilizes supplies and instruments using prescribed methods (steam, Sterrad, etc).
• Operates washer/decontaminator per department policy and procedure.
• Understands the basic principles of all sterilization equipment used in the department.
• Demonstrates proper packaging to promote successful sterilization.
• Follows manufacturer recommendations (IFUs) and ensures cleanliness of decontamination, sterilization, and equipment areas.
• Validates proper functioning of all equipment using mechanical and biological monitors.
