Job summary

Arizona General Hospital-Mesa seeks a Sterile Processing Tech to ensure sterile instrumentation is available for medical teams. You will process and sterilize instruments, assemble trays, perform quality checks, and maintain inventory to support safe procedures.

Your role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and strict adherence to sterilization protocols, enabling efficient, safe patient care across teams at the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Preferred: Surgical instrument technician program or 2 years surgical instrument experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers case carts; uses aseptic technique to handle and distribute sterile instruments and supplies.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment, flexible endoscopes and other medical devices.
• Assembles, packages and labels clinics surgical services and all hospital instrumentation for sterilization methods.
• Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies.
• Uses various high/low temp sterilization and disinfection processes.
