Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Certification in sterile processing is preferred or willing to obtain certification. On-call rotation is required.

• Demonstrate organized work habits in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Work effectively as part of a Surgical Services team.
• Willingness to obtain sterile processing certification if not already certified.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Prepare instrument trays and procedure sets according to established standards.
• Operate and monitor sterilization and decontamination equipment.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance checks.
• Maintain accurate records related to sterilization processes and equipment testing.
• Ensure adequate inventory of sterile supplies and instrument sets.
• Follow infection prevention, aseptic technique, and safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with Surgical Services staff to support patient care needs.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
