Job summary

Lexington Health in Irmo, SC is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments for hospital and affiliated offices.

You will be cross-trained across SPD and OR functions, following regulatory procedures with high integrity, and ensuring proper instrument handling and tracking. High school diploma and certification plan within 12 months are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain CBSPD-Technician from IAHCSMM or CSPDT within 1 year.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Cleans instruments and supplies using approved techniques.
• Prepares instrument trays and sets for sterilization; inspects and wraps correctly.
• Operates steam and Sterrad sterilizers and related equipment.
• Assembles instruments for OR procedures and restocks SPD inventory.
• Returns un-used supplies to SPD and communicates low par levels.
