Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician at our Minnesota campuses to support cleaning, disinfection, preparation, processing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medical supplies and equipment. On-the-job training will develop CRCST certification, with pay progression as certification is achieved.

Eligibility includes a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to stand/walk shifts, and potential for wage increases after certification; visa sponsorship is not required for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• On the job training is provided to develop CRCST certification.
• Must be able to stand and walk all scheduled shifts; the occasional pushing/lifting of up to 46 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, prepare, process and distribute sterile and non-sterile medical supplies and equipment.
• Perform technical tasks according to written policies and procedures and maintain area expertise.
• Monitor quality activities and the physical environment; participate in continuous improvement.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
