Saint Luke's Kansas City is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to decontaminate, disinfect, clean, sterilize, and package supplies and instruments in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory guidelines. You will help maintain documentation and support the nursing team and providers as needed.
Responsibilities include pre-cleaning, PPE handling, instrument scrubbing, washers, autoclaving, quality checks, and packaging for sterilization.
The Sterile Processing Tech Clinic will decontaminate, disinfect, clean, sterilize, and/or appropriately package supplies, instruments, and equipment according to manufacturers and regulatory guidelines as well as maintain proper documentation of such. Additionally, the Sterile Processing Tech Clinic will regularly perform testing in order to ensure proper functionality of equipment utilized in daily processing duties. The position may also be responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Duties may include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and downloading of documents, telephone screening (with protocols), working prior authorizations phlebotomy, assist with procedures (as needed).
