Job summary

Pride Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The role focuses on decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments, ensuring safety and infection control.

You will follow ANSI/AAMI standards, operate washers and autoclaves, and contribute to quality by inspecting equipment and packaging trays. Shifts include 2nd and 3rd with pay between $26 and $30 per hour, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing and instrument decontamination.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and IFUs.
• Ability to operate washers and sterilizers safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow all ANSI/AAMI standards, IFUs, SOPs and work instructions.
• Decontaminate used instruments with proper PPE.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex instruments.
• Assemble and package instrument trays per guidelines.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function before packaging.
• Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs.
